| Hosted by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the NOAA Photo Library provides free services - image searching, browsing and downloading - to the general public. Its collection which spans centuries of time and much of the natural world is of great value in research work as well as science education; the library helps users gain a better understanding of the Earth's oceans and atmosphere through visual imagery. This paper drew a summary of NOAA Photo Library review from the perspectives of resource organization, technical features, interface design, and service characteristics. Suggestions and recommendations were also given. |
