| Intending to create an "environment" in which a "digital content on a global scale" becomes a reality, the World Digital Library (WDL) makes available primary source documents from around the world to users through various search means, to let users "discover, study, and enjoy cultural treasures from around the world on one site, in a variety of ways." This paper provides an overview of the major development of its digital collection, as well as its resources organization, technologies employed and services provided. Suggestions and comments for the improvements in the future are also presented. |
