| SIO Explorer海洋科学数字图书馆主要提供海洋科学数据资料的搜索服务。它集合海洋地理学、海洋地质学等海洋科学学科的研究资料，为海洋科学领域的研究、发展提供专业信息支持。其馆藏资源丰富、数据收集全面，其馆内数字资源的元数据描述对数字图书馆的发展有推动作用。文章对该馆的概况、现状和意义进行综合评述，并作出评价和建议。 |

| As part of the National Science Digital Library (NSDL), the SIO Explorer provides access to more than fifty years of digital oceanographic cruise data, historical information, links and publications. Utilizing the most recent tools in database and digital library creation, its goal is to take the various forms of data, documents, and images from wel over"693 cruise logs"along with various other oceanographic related materials and make them available to researchers, students and the general public who are interested in the study of deep sea exploration. This paper provides an overview of the major development of its digital col ection and organization, service provided and interface designed. Authors' comments and suggestions are also given. |
