| Year 2008 is the U.S. presidential election year. In this campaign the hot topics concerning science and technology included the following ones: competitiveness and innovation, education and workforce, better health, climate change and energy, national and homeland security. Currently, the presidential campaign between Democratic nominee Barack Obama and the Republican nominee John McCain was opened, and both are stating their creeds and policies utilizing the media, Internet and public convention. The science and technology policy standpoints of the president nominees become more clear, and show distinct characteristics. |
