| The global economy is currently undergoing the most significant economic and financial downturn after World War Two and the enterprises are facing challenges for survival and development. The paper summarizes the literatures on economic crisis affects corporate R&D, analyses the R&D strategy adjustment of European and US companies during the crisis, especially companies in biopharmaceutical sector and energy sector, and discusses the government interventions which should be carried out in crisis. |
