为了优化网络性能和延长传感器节点寿命,结合超宽带信号的特点研究了物理层接收机处的误码率门限与传感器节点的无线通信能耗之间的关系,建立了物理层能耗优化模型并提出了使得传输每比特信息平均能耗最小化的误码率门限设置策略(BER TSS)。由BER TSS设置的最优误码率门限可较好地在传输能耗与出错信息重传能耗之间进行平衡,从而使得每比特信息平均传输能耗最小。仿真结果表明,在不同的无线信道条件下,BER TSS可较大幅度削减每比特信息平均传输能耗,并且必须结合网络业务的时延要求适当地设置接收信号BER门限。 |

To improve network performance and prolong sensor lifetime, the relationship between the bit error rate (BER) threshold at the receiver node and the energy consumed on wireless communication has been studied with jointed consideration of the characteristics of ultra wide band (UWB) signals in this paper. Further, a physical layer energy consumption model and a BER threshold setting strategy (BER TSS) for minimizing the average consumed energy per bit are presented. Under BERTSS, the balance between the transmission energy and the retransmission energy can be achieved through setting the optimal BER threshold at the receiver node, and then the average consumed energy per bit can be minimized. Simulation results show that the average consumed energy per bit can be sharply reduced through the implementation of BER TSS. Moreover, the required delay of the network traffic must be considered in setting the BER threshold for the received signals. |
