| Japan provides financial support to researchers, and scientific and technological organizations
through the research funding programs to promote innovation and enhance scientific research outcomes. The
research funding programs of the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) has played a positive role in
promoting the development of science and technology innovation in Japan, and has played a key role in promoting
Japan as a significant participant in the global science and technology innovation field. Through precise strategic
planning, strengthened interdisciplinary collaboration, active support for high-risk research, and a model that
deeply integrates industry, academia and research, JST has developed an efficient and transparent review and
integrity management system. China should learn from the advantages of JST research funding system, establish
flexible funding and evaluation mechanisms by increasing basic research support, encourage industry-university-research cooperation, vigorously carry out international cooperation, and strengthen the training of young talents
and the construction of scientific research integrity to optimize and improve the domestic research funding
mechanism. |
