| US is one of the countries with the most advanced cyber security innovations and industries in the world, and has gradually formed a number of cyber security innovation highlands represented by Washington, Boston and Silicon Valley. The cyber security industry has been listed as one of Massachusetts state’s four key supporting industries. The unique cyber security ecosystem makes the state a leader in the global cyber security industry. This paper mainly introduces the global background of the cyber security industry, the current development pattern of US cyber security industry, and the unique ecosystem of cyber security industry in Massachusetts. This paper also emphatically analyzes the successful elements of the cyber security industry in Massachusetts, including the innovation environment, government support, advantages in education and talents, R&D resources, market demand and development, ecosystem of investment and entrepreneurship, and Massachusetts-Israel international cooperation. The successful model of the cyber security industry in Massachusetts offers reference to the development of emerging industries in China. |
