| The discovery of special effect drugs such as artemisinin and the outstanding performance of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in the treatment of major diseases including SARS, AIDS, leukemia and COVID-19 have demonstrated the enormous potential contained in TCM. The paper summarizes the overview development of TCM in Japan, Korea, Europe and the United States. By analyzing the development status of the TCM pharmaceutical industry in China and the existing problems and challenges, it puts forward thinking and suggestions to accelerate the innovation development of the TCM pharmaceutical industry industry of China. |
