| As the only national laboratory in the United States dedicated to the research, development, demonstration and deployment of renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies, National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) has played a key role in promoting technology advancement and deployment in related areas. This paper gives an introduction to the laboratory’s leading role in advancing scientific research and technological innovation of renewable energy and energy efficiency, and its four vital functions in connecting innovation value chain and industry chain. These practices are worth further studying. |
